Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 gets official

Having kept awaited loads, Panasonic makes its long-awaited and long rumored Lumix DMC-LX5 digital camera official at its support page. Really large changes are not observed, though the new DMC-LX5 does have a longer zoom range of 3.8x with F2.0 aperture and ISO 80-12800, comparing to its predecessor Lumix LX3‘s 2.5x and ISO 80-3200. It also has got a similar design as its ancestor the Lumix LX3.
Panasonic Lumix LX5 is armed with a 10.1 Megapixel HD camera with evolved sensor technology, a F2.0 Leica DC VARIO-SUMMICRON lens with 3.8x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom and a 3-inch LCD display with AR coating. Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 features a Power O.I.S image stabilizer, Face Detection, Intelligent Exposure, Intelligent ISO Control, Face Recognition and the Intelligent AUTO mode. It records 1280×720 HD video in AVCHD Lite format and renders mini HDMI output.
Panasonic Lumix LX5 supports SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards and supports VIERA Link. Pricing and availability have not been announced. It comes in silver and black.

Panasonic Corporation once used to be known as Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. The new pocket sized Coby Snapp CAM 5001 720p HD Camcorder features a 5 Mega pixel CMOS image sensor, a 2-inch display LCD, 4x digital zoom, 128MB of internal memory and a SD/SDHC card slot supporting up to 16GB memory. The Snapp CAM5001 is capable of recording 1280×720p HD video at 30fps using XviD codec in AVI format instead of MPEG4 format used by CAM5000 which is really a spot on edge of its over its previous brother CAM5000. Casio EXILIM EX-Z550 and EX-Z330 Compact Digital Cameras

Casio introduces two new EXILIM ZOOM compact digital cameras, the EX-Z550 and EX-Z330, replacing the EX-Z300 and EX-Z450. They are equipped with EXILIM Engine 5.0 and includes Face Detection, Intelligent AF and YouTube capture mode.

The Z550 is a 14.1 Megapixel camera with 4x optical zom, 26mm wide angle, CCD Shift Stabilization, ISO 3200 while the Z330 features 12.1 Megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom, Anti-shake DSP, ISO 1600. Both digicams have a 2.7-inch LCD display and supports 1280×720p HD movie recording.
Casio’s EX-Z550 and EX-Z330 features also the Dynamic Photo function that lets users edit and combine different moving images right on the camera.

Leica M9 Camera Available for pre-order

The Leica M9 is a latest addition to the company’s M series. Evidently, it is the smallest full-frame digital rangefinder camera in the word, integrated with a 24 x 36mm sensor.
The Leica M9 combines Leica’s M System with advanced digital technology. It features a silent, metal-leaf, focal-plane shutter that enables shutter speeds of up to 1/4000 seconds and an ISO range of 80-2500. Other outstanding features include dual image processors, a 2.5-inch LCD screen and UV/IR cover-glass filter. Besides, it supports SD cards up to 2 GB and SDHC cards up to 32 GB.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX66 Digital Camera

Panasonic introduces the new Lumix DMC-FX66 (aka DMC-FX68) digital camera, the latest addition to the FX series that is the successor of the FX60/FX65. The 14.1 Megapixel camera features a 25mm wide angle lens with 5x optical zoom, Venus Engine VI image processor and a 2.7-inch LCD display.
The FX66 includes the Intelligent Zoom function that extends the zooming power to 6.5x. It has also the iA (Intelligent Auto) mode offering Face Recognition, Intelligent Resolution, AF Tracking, Intelligent ISO Control and Intelligent Exposure. The new Lumix can record 1280×720p HD video at 30fps.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX66 will be launched on February 19th, 2010 for 35,000 Yen ($392).
Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR3 14 Megapixel Camera

Here is another new camera in the Panasonic Lumix product lineup, it is the Lumix DMC-ZR3 14 Megapixel Camera. It is a super slim digital camera which offers a 2.7-inch LCD display, supports SD/SDHC/SDXC cards, a 25mm ultra-wide-angle Leica lens with 8x optical zoom which can also be extended to 10x by the Intelligent Zoom function.
Like most new Panasonic Cameras, the TS2 camera for example, the Lumix DMC-ZR3 offers the iA (Intelligent Auto) mode, including the POWER OIS. There is also the Venus Engine HD II image processor and the capability to record AVCHD Lite 720p HD videos. It will be available soon in the colors of silver, black, red and blue.

New Pentax Optio I-10 and H90 Digital Cameras

Pentax launches the new slim and stylish Optio I-10 that has a design inspired by the classic look of film SLR cameras and the Optio H90 with a clean, contemporary design. Both cameras have a 12.1 Megapixel CCD sensor, 5x optical zoom lens with 28mm wide angle and 2.7-inch LCD display.
Pentax’s new digicams are able to capture 720p HD video at 30fps. They feature Face Detection, Smile Capture, Blink Detection and improved Pixel Track Shake Reduction technology. The Optio I-10 includes also mechanical sensor shift Shake Reduction system and Face Detection that spots up to 32 faces including dogs and cats. The I-10 comes in Classic Black and Pearl White for $299.95 while the H90 in Orange-Silver, Matte Black and Ceramic White for $179.95.
Also introduced is the Pentax Optio E90 digital camera, successor of E80, with 10 Megapixel CCD, 3x optical zoom, a 2.7-inch LCD, and ISO 6400. It uses AA battery. The E90 will be available in Black and Wine Red and cost just $99.9.
