The Chrysler Jeep Patriot is touted as the first American car to be covered by the Japan’s eco-car subsidy program. Mazda3 Tamura Introduced In UK

Mazda has introduced the all new Mazda3 Tamura in the UK. This special edition car is based on the TS model and features a sports styling kit which includes a front grille, side skirts and bumpers, front fog lamps, bespoke badging and free metallic paint. Underneath, the car is powered by a 1.6-liter petrol engine paired to a five-speed manual gearbox that outputs a total of 105 HP. 0 to 62 mph can be reached in just 12.2 seconds with a top speed of 114 mph. 2010 Fiat Bravo Hatch

Fiat today released its new Bravo hatch that has received a few minor changes. On the outside, the Bravo’s upper and lower front grilles have been re-trimmed and are now offered either in black or chrome finish while the headlamps on all models are smoked. There are also two new colors including a gray and a pear finish. The Lamborghini Toro LA690-4 was designed by Montreal student Amadou Ndiaye, was envisioned as a modern reinvention of the Lamborghini Espada from the late 1960’s. Capstone CMT-380 hybrid electric supercar

A company called Capstone Turbine shows at the LA Auto Show its CMT-380 prototype hybrid electric supercar which is boosted by the company’s microturbine technology. The car is powered by traditional batteries and an untraditional ultra low emission range extending microturbine. It does 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds, 150 mph top speed, and an unheard-of driving range of up to 500 miles on a single tank of fuel.

The CMT-380 features lithium-polymer battery cells that can be charged at home or at a public recharging station. It can can operate on 100 percent battery power in zero emissions mode for a range of up to 80 miles.

2011 Chevrolet Cruze compact sedan

At the L.A. Auto Show, Chevrolet presents the he U.S. production version of the 2011 Cruze compact sedan. It is boosted by either a new Ecotec 1.4L I-4 turbo that produces 138 horsepower and 148 torque or a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine.

The Cruze gets also six-speed automatic and manual transmissions, electronic stability control with rollover sensing and fuel-saving, rack-mounted electric power steering.

2011 Infiniti M37 and M56 Announced

Infiniti, the luxury car division of Nissan, announced at the LA Auto Show 2009 its 2011 Infiniti M. Two models will be offered, the Infiniti M37 with a 330-horsepower 3.7-liter VVEL V6 and the Infiniti M56 with an all-new 420-horsepower 5.6-liter VVEL Direct Injection Gasoline V8.

The engines of the M37 and M56 feature Infiniti’s advanced VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) system and a standard 7-speed automatic transmission. The latter gets also Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) technology. They have also the world’s first blind spot intervention System. The Infiniti M56 and M37 will be offered in a choice of rear-wheel drive or with Infiniti’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system.

The new 2011 Infiniti M are scheduled to go on sale in late March 2010. Infiniti will also introduce hybrid Infiniti M in mid-2010.
