Shogun Bros. unveils Chameleon X-1 Wireless Mouse and Gamepad combo – You gotta trust itDecember 27th, 2010 by admin
Yes! The technology made it possible, Shogun Bros. has come-up with their newly made product, called Chameleon X-1 Wireless Gamepad Mouse, which pretty hard to tell whether it’s a mouse and it is supposedly a PC gamepad. No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you, not one little bit. You’re looking at a PC gamepad built into the bottom of a mouse, and not a drab one at that. It’s called the Shogun Bros.
ChaChameleon X-1 Wireless Gamepad Mouse features a 5-stage adjustable 1600dpi optical sensor with 125Hz polling rate, which admittedly sounds last gen, that connects to your Windows PC over a USB dongle sporting 2.4GHz wireless. There’s 14 buttons on the bottom, 7 on the top, and the company’s support page suggests the device has force feedback as well.
The gamepad section of the X-1 reveals its full splendor when the peripheral is turned upside down, all of the 14 keys being located on the bottom side (including directional arrows, action keys and what appear to be some thumbsticks).
Last, but certainly not least, it’s interesting to mention that the X-1 can also be used for some more “serious” purposes, such as a presenter or a 3D mouse.
According to Shogun Bros, their Chameleon X-1 should be available in Q1 2011, for the suggested retail price of $55, which makes it quite an interesting choice for all gamers out there (especially if it can really deliver a very good level of control within most applications).
