Casio EXILIM EX-Z550 and EX-Z330 Compact Digital Cameras

Casio introduces two new EXILIM ZOOM compact digital cameras, the EX-Z550 and EX-Z330, replacing the EX-Z300 and EX-Z450. They are equipped with EXILIM Engine 5.0 and includes Face Detection, Intelligent AF and YouTube capture mode.

The Z550 is a 14.1 Megapixel camera with 4x optical zom, 26mm wide angle, CCD Shift Stabilization, ISO 3200 while the Z330 features 12.1 Megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom, Anti-shake DSP, ISO 1600. Both digicams have a 2.7-inch LCD display and supports 1280×720p HD movie recording.
Casio’s EX-Z550 and EX-Z330 features also the Dynamic Photo function that lets users edit and combine different moving images right on the camera.

Panasonic VIERA VT25 series Full HD 3D Plasma HDTV

Panasonic introduced its 2010 line of VIERA Plasma HDTVs at the Consumer Electronics Show, including the 65-inch TC-P65VT25, 58-inch TC-P58VT25, 54-inch TC-P54VT25 and 49.9-inch TC-P50VT25.
All of the above mentioned HDTVs features a Infinite Black Pro display with 5,000,000:1 native contrast, 24p playback, 600Hz Sub-field Drive, THX certification, THX Movie Mode and come with a pair of 3D Eyewear for 3D viewing. The 2010 VIERA line also features VIERA Link for increased networking and VIERA Image Viewer to allow for watching digital still and HD video on the Plasma screen. There is also the VIERA CAST service along with specs such as Four HDMI connections, two USB ports and a RS232C connection.

Samsung E6 and E101 e-book Readers Devices

Samsung launches the E6 and E101, its first e-book reading devices. Both models enables handwriting directly onto the display, allowing users to annotate their reading selections, calendars and to-do lists with a built-in electromagnetic resonance (EMR) stylus pen.
The Samsung E6 comes with 6-inch screen while the E101 features a bigger screen which measures 10-inch. Both e-Book Reader also comes with the capability to download content online using its built-in WiFi 802.11b/g as well as Bluetooth 2.0.
The Samsung E6 and E101 will be released in early 2010 for $399 and $699 respectively.

3M MPro150 Pocket Projector

3M launches its new MPro150 pocket projector at the CES 2010. As the follow-up to the MPro110 and MPro120, the new model feature 1GB internal storage and native support for Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel files and Adobe PDF.
The compact projector offers VGA resolution and is able to produce images up to 50-inches at 15 lumens brightness. It can display documents, video, photo directly and offers integrated MP3 player and headphone jack.

Sony NXCAM HXR-NX5U Professional AVCHD Camcorder

Sony adds the new professional AVCHD camcorder to its NXCAM family of video products for professionals. The camcorder features the Exmor CMOS image sensor with ClearVid array for low light sensitivity with low noise and a 29.5mm Wide-Angle to 590mm Telephoto G-Lens with 20x optical zoom.
The Sony HXR-NX5U records 1920×1080p Full HD video in AVCHD format at up to 24Mbps. It also does 720/60p video recording and include built-in GPS function. The prosumer camcorder offers Optical SteadyShot image stabilization with Active Mode and three built-in neutral density filters for adjusting the amount of light entering the image sensor. Both HD-SDI and HDMI outputs are included and there is a 3.2-inch LCD display and a 0.45-inch Xtra Fine LCD electronic viewfiner.
The new NXCAM uses Memory Stick PRO Duo and SDHC cards as well as the optional HXR-FMU128 128GB Flash Memory Unit that costs $800. The Sony NXCAM HXR-NX5U Professional AVCHD Camcorder will cost you back $4950 if it is your desire to own one.

Sony intros 8 Handycam Full HD Camcorders

Sony introduces eight new Handycam High Definition camcorders at the CES 2010. These HD camcorders are all equipped with back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor and are capable of recording 1920×1080p Full HD video at 24Mbps in AVCHD format.

Entry-level models include HDR-XR150 with 120GB hard drive, HDR-CX150 with 16GB flash memory and the HDR-CX110 that lacks internal storage. They comes with a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 25X optical zoom lens and offers 3.1 Megapixel still image capturing, Steady Shot image stabilization with Active Mode and 2.7-inch LCD display. The HDR-XR150, HDR-CX150, and HDR-CX110 will be available in late January for about $700, $550, and $500, respectively.

There are also the mid-range 160GB HDR-XR350V, 32GB HDR-CX350V and 16GB HDR-CX300. They have a wide angle G lens with 12x optical zoom, 7 Megapixel sensor, Optical Steady Shot image stabilization with Active Mode, Golf Shot function and Embedded GPS (except HDR-CX300). The HDR-XR350V, HDR-CX350V and HDR-CX300 will be released in February for $1000, $900, and $800, respectively.

The HDR-XR550V with 240GB hard drive and the HDR-CX550V with 64GB flash memory are the top-of-the-line models with 12 Megapixel image sensor and wide angle G lens. They get the additional Color Electronic View Finder and a 3.5-inch LCD display. The HDR-XR550V and HDR-CX550V are priced at $1400 and $1300 respectively.
All seven camcorders feature Intelligent Auto (iAuto), Face Touch, Highlight Playback, 60p output and BIONZ imaging processor. They all support external memory.

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-HX5V And DSC-TX7 Full HD AVCHD Video

Sony launches at the CES 2010 two new Cyber-shot cameras, the DSC-HX5V and the DSC-TX7, that are the world’s first compact digital cameras to include 1080i HD (1920 x 1080 60i) Advanced Video Codec High Definition (AVCHD) video capability.

Sony’s new Cyber-shot cameras are equipped with Megapixel Exmor R image sensor and feature in-camera Backlight Correction High Dynamic Range (HDR), in-camera multi-shot High Dynamic Range (HDR), BIONZ image processor and TransferJet wireless technology.
The Sony DSC-HX5V comes with a 3-inch LCD display and a 10x optical zoom G- lens with wide-angle 25mm-250mm while the DSC-TX7 gets a 3.5-inch touchscreen display and Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 4x optical wide angle 25mm-100mm lens. The DSC-HX5V features also GPS + Compass and Optical SteadyShot with Active Mode and the TX7 is compatible with Party-shot (model IPT-DS1) automatic photographer.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V camera will be available in black this March for about $350, and the TX7 camera will be available in silver, blue and red this February for about $400.

Sony Alpha a450 Digital SLR Digital Camera

Sony introduces a new member of its Alpha DLSR line, the entry-level Alpha a450 that sit in between the a500 and a350. The camera is equipped with Sony’s 14.2 Megapixel Exmor CMOS image sensor and BIONZ image processing engine. It also offers Auto HDR in-camera high dynamic range imaging.
The Alpha a450 features ISO up to 12800, 7 fps continuous shooting, Live View, 9-point auto focus, built-in SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilization and D-Range Optimizer function for naturally balanced exposures in any shooting situation. It also includes Creative Style settings.
The Sony a450 comes with a 2.7-inch LCD display and supports Memory Stick PRO Duo/PRO-HG Duo and SD/SDHC cards.
The DSLR-A450 digital SLR camera by Sony is available from the beginning of February 2010.

Samsung CL80 Stylish Camera with AMOLED Display

Samsung launches at the CES 2010 its CL80 digital camera with integrated WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen. The 14.2 Megapixel CL80 features a 7x Schneider KREUZNACH zoom lens. It is just 0.77-inch thick.

The ultra slim CL80 includes optical and digital dual image stabilization, face recognition, Smart Gesture UI, Smart Filter, Blink detection and built-in HDMI connectivity. It is able to record 720p HD video at 30fps in H.264 format. The Samsung CL80 will be available in Spring 2010.
Also introduced is the TL240 that lacks WiFi and Bluetooth and gets a smaller touchscreen at 3.5-inch. The Samsung CL80 Stylish Camera will be available in the Spring of 2010.
