Asus Eee PC 1015P and 1015PE Seashell Netbooks

Asus made its Eee PC 1015P and 1015PE Seashell netbooks official. Two models are almost identical excpet their finish. The 1015 will be available with pattern finish and comes in White, Blue and Black while the 1015PE has a smooth matte or high gloss coating and is available in Milky White, Silky Red, Midnight Blue, and Jazz Black colors.

Both Seashell netbooks sport an Intel Atom N450 processor, 1GB of memory, up to 320GB hard drive storage, integrated graphics and a 10.1-inch 1024×600 LED-backlight display. They support Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi connectivity and feature a 1.3 Megapixel webcam, multi-in-one card reader, stereo speaker and 6-cell battery for up to 13.5 hours of backup time.

2.2-Pound Albatron Slimline Netbook Hands-On

Here’s a first look at the Albatron Slimline, a 10.2-inch Netbook that weighs in at just 2.2-pounds. Technical specifications have not yet been announced, but we do know that it “packs at least an audio input and output.” Video after the break.

With the whole world feeling that the time is right to enter the quaint and mysterious realm of “thin and light” netbooks, this just proves that you’re totally vibing with money-hungry suits the world over.

Amazon Kindle DX Hands-On

Available for pre-order now through Amazon, the Amazon Kindle DX boasts a 9.7-inch display, built-in PDF reader, and 5-way controller. By just simply “turning the device, you can immediately see full-width landscape views of maps, graphs, tables and web pages.”

The size difference really is notable. The DX is a large device. It’s not the kind of thing you’ll be throwing into a purse, though it’s not so large that you wouldn’t consider it over the Kindle 2.

TEC Lingo: The World’s Smallest Computer Mouse

The TEC Lingo is touted as the world’s smallest computer mouse, measuring in at “27.5 x 60 x 19 mm and 0.8 ounces.” Features include: “800 dpi, 2.4GHz with a range of up to 32.8 feet, and about 15 hours battery life with automatic shutoff.” Pricing and availability have not yet been announced.

While more traditional in function than the aforementioned deskless variant, its claim to fame is a self-appointed “smallest mouse” title.
