Toshiba LCD HDTVs Regza Series A1, H1 and R1

Toshiba Corporation (Japanese: Kabushiki-gaisha Tōshiba) (TYO: 6502) is a Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation which is a renowned manufacturer and marketer of advanced electronic and electrical products and household appliances etc. Toshiba Corporation brings in three new lines of REGZA HDTVs, the R1, H1 and entry-level A1 in Japan, right after the fresh announcement of its RE1 and HE1 series HDTVs.
The new Regza R1 set in fully capable of recording to or playback content from external hard drives and that’s all because of the permission of a USB port in Regza R1. There are 32”, 37” and 42” inch models offered, each one of them is with IPS panels and a gaming mode, along with DLNA streaming support and four HDMI connection ports, a Pc and analog inputs. Resolution is set at 1080p for the larger sets, while the 32” inch model has a 720p panel.

The new Regza H1 32” and 37” inch have a built-in 500GB hard disk drive in addition to a USB port and share the rest features of the R1s like IPS panels and a gaming mode, along with DLNA streaming support and four HDMI connection ports, a Pc and analog inputs. Resolution is set at 1080p for the larger sets.

The new Regza A1 series is the entry-level, and is brought forward in 19”, 22” and 26” inch sets, all with 720p resolution. There are two HDMI inputs, along with lesser connections. Note Regza A1 series has no USB recording support.

The 32” inch Regza R1 is due out in Japan on April 30th, priced at the equivalent of $1,393, with the 37” and 42” inch models coming early in June and priced at $1,929 and $2,465, respectively. The Regza H1s arrive at the same time, are priced at $1,607 and $2,143 for the 32” and 37” inch models. They are in pending to arrive at the start of August, with prices set at $697, $804 and $964 for the 19”, 22” and 26” inch sets correspondingly. Yet there is no indication of when or if Toshiba brings these to the North American market.

Sharp introduces at the CES 2010 its AQUOS LC-60E88UN, a 240Hz 60-inch LCD HDTV. It utilizes the Sharp’s Full HD 1080p X-Gen LCD panel with UV2A technology and 10-bit processing and combines it with 240Hz Fine Motion Advanced technology to provide clear, high definition image.
The Sharp AQUOS LC-60E88UN has four HDMI inputs as well as PC input, component, s-video and RS-232C.
Sharp Aquos LC-60E88UN LCD HDTV will be available in February 2010 but the price is not available yet.

ViewSonic launches six LCD TVs

ViewSonic adds to its HDTV line six new LCD TVs. Out of the six models, you can expect four Full HD models. All of them are equipped with ATSC/NTSC/QAM TV tuner.
The 32-inch VT3245, 37-inch VT3745 and 42-inch N4285 all feature 1920×1080p Full HD resolution. The first two models have 4000:1 contrst ratio, 5ms response time and 3D video processing, while the larger N4285 offers 10,000:1 contrast ratio and advanced image scaling Eco Panel. The VT3245 and VT3745 are priced at $649 and $799 respectively and the N4285 at $999.
The 23-inch VT2342 also offer 1920×1080p Full HD resolution. It has 10,000:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time and SRS TruSurround HD audio. The 20-inch VT2042 has boasts similar features but has a resolution of 1600×900. They are priced at $349 and $299 respectively.
Lastly, the 26-inch VT2645 comes with a 1366×768 LCD panel and SRS TruSurround HD audio. It costs $449.

Mitsubishi Releases LT-46249 and LT-52249 HDTVs with VUDU 1080p Streaming
