Motorola XT701, MT710 and XT800 Phones

Motorola is planning three Android smartphones for China market, one for each of the three carriers in China. All these phones supports 3G network and runs the Android OS.

First of all, the MT710 is a OPhone device for China Mobile. Obviously it supports world’s biggest carrier’s TD-SCDMA 3G network. It runs the Android-based OPhone platform. The MT710 features a 0.3 Megapixel front camera for video call and integrated CMMB mobile TV tuner.

The Motorola XT701, which is also called the Sholes Tablet, is for China Unicom. It works on WCDMA/HSPA networks. The XT701 is boosted by a Cortex A8 processor, like the Droid/Milestone.

Lastly, the Motorola XT800 (aka Zeppelin) is a device that looks like Dell’s Mini 3i. It is designed for China Telecom and supports dual-mode GSM and EV-DO network.

All three Android devices feature 3.7-inch 854×480 touchscreen, a 5 Megpaixel camera with flash, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS support and microSD/SDHC card slot.

Motorola MT710 OPhone for China Mobile

Motorola officially introduced in China its MOTO MT710, which is the company’s first smartphone for China Mobile. The MT710, a Droid/Milestone-like device, runs China Mobile’s Android-based OPhone platform and supports TD-SCDMA 3G network and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks.

MOTO MT710 is boosted by a Marvell PXA310 processor. It has a touchscreen, a 5 Megapixel camera, a front camera and support for WiFi.

Motorola MT710 OPhone for China Mobile

Motorola has a hot phone for Chinese customers too. The MT710 is a handset meant to deal with China Mobile’s Android-based Open Mobile Systen. This OPhone will offer a 3.7-inch 854 x 480 touchscreen display and TD-SDCDMA support and that’s about all we know about this Motorola OPhone. It looks like the MT710 is the Chinese version of the Droid and people say it’s going to lack keyboard support. They also say that Motorola will launch seven Android phones next year which means that the Droid-like MT710 is just the first one of them.

Dell Mini 3i Android Phone Now Official

Dell officially announced its Mini 3i (aka Mini3) smartphone running China Mobile’s Android-based Open Mobile System (aka OPhone), which according to PC maker, is “the world’s smallest Dell”. The Mini3i will be released in China through China Mobile and in Brazil through Claro. It is also heading to other regions and countries via other leading global telecom providers.

Dell’s Mini 3i features a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen and comes with a special stylus, a 3 Megapixel camera. China’s version of Mini 3i will not include 3G and WiFi support while the Brazilian Mini 3iX will probably do.

The Dell Mini 3 has been unboxed by Chinese site PCOnline. Instead of offering a 3.5mm jack, Dell’s first Android device provides just miniUSB port and includes a miniUSB-to-3.5mm jack adapter.

LG GW880 with China Mobile’s OPhone OS

The LG GW880 smartphone is due for release on China Mobile very soon, and is packing the OPhone OS. China Mobile’s OPhone OS offers the company’s mobile software store called Mobile Market and is based on Android but looks fairly similar to the iPhone’s operating system. The good news for developers is that the software development kit for the OPhone is also compatible with the Android SDK and furthermore, applications developed for Android will work just fine on the OPhone platform with the same API. Looking at the technical side of things, the LG GW880 will support China’s 3G network, along with EDGE. It also packs in 3.5-inch touch screen with a WVGA resolution. Other specifications include 512 MB ROM/256MB RAM, GPS, Bluetooth and a 5 megapixel camera.

Lenovo O1 OPhone Hit China Next Month

Lenovo O1 OPhone The Android-based 3G phone from Lenovo which powered by a 624MHz processor will expected to hit china next month, OPhone supports TD-SCDMA (Time Division Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access) 3G standard and available in 8GB or 16GB internal storage. It features a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, a 5 Megapixel camera, support for GPS, and is WiFi (WAPI) ready. The phone is also able to handle CMMD and MBBMS digital TV.
